Super fine weight yarnYarn: Universal Yarn Magnolia (95%Modal, 5% Cashmere; 361 yards [330 meters] / 3.5 ounces [100 grams]): 112 Seed (MC 3 (4, 5, 6, 7) balls)

Hook: US size D/ 3.125 mm

Pattern Notes

There is no sewing involved in this pattern. Instructions are given to join motifs as you go.

Follow the chart for joining motifs. Make sure to join the sides as you go.

Ch 8 at the beginning of the round counts as dc, ch 5.

Ch 3 at the beginning of the round counts as dc.

Ch 4 at the beginning of the round counts as dc, ch 1.

Pattern

Motif 1:

Ch 8. Make a ring with a sl st into the first ch.

Rnd 1: Ch 1, 16 sc in ring. End with sl st into the first ch.

Rnd 2: Ch 8, (sk next sc, dc in next sc, ch 5) 7 times, end with sl st into the 3rd ch. (8 dc)

Rnd 3: Sl st into next 2 ch, ch 3, 4 dc in same ch-7 sp, ch 5, (5 dc in next ch-7 sp, ch 5) 7 times, end with sl st into the 3rd ch. (40 dc)

Rnd 4: Sl st into each of next 2 dc, * ch 3, (3 dc, ch 9, 3 dc) in next ch-5 sp, ch 3, skip next 2 dc, sc into next dc, ch 3, (3 dc, ch 5, 3 dc) in next ch-5 sp, skip next 2 dc, ch 3, sc in next dc; rep from * around. Fasten off. (4 ch-9 sps, 4 ch-5 sps, 48 dc)

Motif 2 and all other motifs:

Work same as motif 1 until rnd 4.

Rnd 4: Sl st into each of next 2 dc, * ch 3, (3 dc, ch 4, sl st into the corresponding ch-9 sp of previous motif, ch 4, 3 dc) in next ch-5 sp, ch 3, skip next 2 dc, sc into next dc, ch 3, (3 dc, ch 2, sl st into the corresponding ch-5 sp of previous motif ch 2, 3 dc) in next ch-5 sp, ch 3, skip next 2 dc, sc into next dc; rep from * as long as necessary, otherwise follow instructions for rnd 4 of motif 1. Fasten off.

Half Motif (make 2):

Ch 8. Make a ring with a sl st into the first ch.

Row 1: Ch 1, 13 sc in ring, turn.

Row 2: Ch 8, (skip next sc, dc in next sc, ch 5) 5 times, dc in last sc, turn. (7 dc)

Row 3: Ch 3, 2 dc in same ch-5 sp, (ch 7, 5 dc in next ch-7 sp) 4 times, ch 7, 3 dc in last ch-5 sp, turn.

Row 4: Ch 3, [(3 dc, ch 4, sl st into the corresponding ch-9 sp, ch 4, 3 dc) in next ch-7 sp, ch 3, skip next 2 dc, sc into the next dc, ch 3, (3 dc, ch 2, sl st into the corresponding ch-5 sp, ch 2, 3 dc) in next ch-7 sp, ch 3, skip next 2 dc, sc in next dc, ch 3] twice, (3 dc, ch 4, sl st into the corresponding ch-9 sp, ch 4, 3 dc) in next ch-7 sp, ch 3, sl st into the 3rd ch. Fasten off.

Border for bottom edge and sleeve edge

Rnd 1: With RS facing, attach yarn to the ch-9 sp of the side motif, * ch 8, tr in next sc on the motif, ch 8, sc in next ch-5 sp, ch 8, tr in next sc, ch 8, sc in the next ch-9 sp; repeat from *, join with sl st in ch-9 sp.

Rnd 2: Ch 4, * sk next ch, dc in next ch, ch 1; rep from * end with sl st into the 3rd ch. Fasten off.

Neckline Finishing

Rnd 1: With RS facing, attach yarn to the ch-9 sp of the side motif, * ch 8, tr in next sc on the motif, ch 8, sc in next ch-5 sp, ch 8, tr in next sc, ch 8, sc in the next ch-9 sp; repeat from * on all back neck motifs, on the half-motifs work [ch 8, sc in next ch-3 sp, ch 8, sc into next ch-8 sp, ch 8, sc in next ch-3 sp, ch 8, sc in next ch-9 sp], work on front motifs same as back neck motifs, repeat between [ ] for the next half-motif, join with sl st in ch-9 sp.

Rnd 2: Ch 4, * sk next ch, dc in next ch, ch 1; rep from * end with sl st into the 3rd ch. Fasten off.

Finishing

Weave in all ends.
