The Riveting Sport Marled yarn, which is called for in this pattern, sounds wonderful but has been discontinued. Can you suggest a substitute?

I am new to making sweater and I don’t understand what this part of the materials section mean :
    #7911 Seaside Denim 3 (3, 3, 4, 4, 4, 5) balls
    Could someone please explain it?
    Thanks

Hi Sharon! This is the yarn colorway information and the amount of yarn balls you will need to complete each size of the pattern. To make the size shown, Bust: 37, you will need 3 balls of this yarn. The numbers in parentheses correlate to the size options in parentheses as well. I hope that makes sense! – Nicola, Editor

I used the lace part of this pattern and created a hat to match the shawl I made with this pattern. I will be making the top as soon as I get the appropriate yarn.

I love this quick and easy pattern! I used 1 lb mill-ends and noticed I didn’t have enough yarn to finish after making the first panel. I am frogging the pendulum lace on one end and extending the mesh to create a wrap.
I will try again with other yarn.
