I wish you would make some videos to show some of the difficult work.
I don’t understand. What are the difficult parts?
Is this from the October 2021 issue?
Yes, this pattern was originally published in the October 2021 issue.
I really like this pattern, but wondered if it could be changed to use a larger size yarn, such as a “4”. Super fine doesn’t play nicely with me and my fingers.
absolutely! you can use a larger hook and heavier yarn. However, keep in mind that the motifs and the overall cardigan will be larger/longer than you see. You have to make adjustments to get the correct size you want. For instance, you might need fewer motifs to get the same length as shown and other adjustments.
Where did you purchase your yarn?
I believe Lindy Chain is only available at KnitPicks: https://www.knitpicks.com/yarn/lindy-chain/c/5420254
I am a gold member, but when I click on the download button it will go to a blank page. Nothing loads. Does anyone have suggestions?
Hi Michelle, I just tested it to make sure and the download is working. It’s a PDF file, so it might just depend on your personal browser settings and where it decides to save the file. I would check your downloads history in your browser. If that still doesn’t work, please let me know and we can troubleshoot further. Thanks! – Nicola, Editor
I have favorited this pattern because it looks like such a great cardigan. Thanks for including so many pictures of the finished piece, it seems like so many patterns only shows 1-2 views.
Thank you! I tried to download the pattern and it said that file was corrupted. Can you send it another way? I really want to try this one.
Hi Pam! Thanks for bringing this to our attention, a new diagram has been added! – Nicola, Editor

Got it Nicola, thank you so much, love the sweater, gave to my sister in law for a gift, she loves it perfect for the weather in the winter down in AZ
Round 5 of second and other motifs tells you how to join them as you go, and the chart shows the order of joining them.
Hello ???????? this pattern is sooo gorgeous ! I would like to make it but I can’t find the amount of yarn needed. Would you please let me know approximately how many skeins are needed in each size ?

Hi. I am getting ready to start this project, but I cannot see the directions to make the 52″ Cardigan. Can you please help me out on this asap? I received my yarn today and I’m ready to get started on it. Thank you
Hello! I’ve reached out to the designer for advice and she or I will reply as soon as possible. Thanks! – Nicola, Editor
After working the motifs, the rest of the body is worked from side-to side, therefore, Rows 2-15 (18, 21, 24, 27): Ch 3 (counts as dc), dc across. Fasten off at end of last row.
For size 52″ you need to work until end of row 27.
This cardigan is gorgeous!
I’ve begun crocheting it, but I don’t have a lot of experience making granny-type motifs. Do you have a chart/graph for the motif? If not, is it based on one from a book, magazine, or pattern that would have a chart? The directions are clear, but it would be nice to check my work against.
Either way, I love the pattern.
Thanks!

I am sorry, I do not have a chart for it.
I made this but shortened it a bit so that it hit nearer the top of my hips (12 motif row instead of 16). What I learned too late was that I should have used a smaller hook for double crochets (or a larger one for the motifs). I only tested my gauge with the dcs and my gauge was off between the two. Would recommend doing one motif to set the gauge and then adding several rows of dc on the motif to see if that works for you. I was too inexperienced to know to do that. While my dcs were on gauge, my motifs came out just over 3 inches and I had to block them to reach 4….a bit of a stretch. Anyway, my problem, not the patterns. I made the largest size but was worried because there was no adjustment for sizing on the sleeves. That didn’t seem to matter. I got the same look despite not adjusting the sleeve for size. I used Premier Angora Lace in Aloe which was perfect for this style. Thanks for the inspiration. Very beautiful piece. If I were petite and young I would have made the full length version.
Hi. I have made the first 16 motifs and I am on row 3 of the dc’s. It is quite wavy. My gauge was ok though. Do I drop down a hook size or will blocking fix this ? Thank you. Very urgent as a special gift for a special person. So beautiful!!!!
I used the same hook all the way through. If your gauge is off, you should try different size hooks to see which one works for you.
What size hook did you use please?
Hook: US size C/2 (2.75 mm)
Really gorgeous!!!!! You did a fantastic job!!!!!
Thank you! You are very kind.
Absolutely Beautiful… WOW!!!
