Gauge: 3 sts = 1” [2.5 cm] in sc
Materials
Yarn: Rico Design Creative Cotton Aran (100% Cotton; 93 yards [85 meters]/ 50 grams): Cherry (A, 2 balls), Black (B, 2 ball), Red (C, 2 balls)
Hook: US size I/9 (5.5 mm)
Notions: Tapestry needle, stitch marker, two leather strips/handles 8” / [20.3 cm] in length
Pattern Notes
The pattern is worked holding two strands of yarn together at a time.
All parts are worked in continuous rounds without joining. Place the stitch marker in the top of the first st to mark start of round.
Changing Color
When changing to a different color, pull the new color through the last two loops of the previous st to complete that st. Continue in the new color, following the pattern. Change colors in this manner whenever indicated on the pattern.
When changing to and from a color, carry the unused color yarn along the wrong side of the work loosely so that the work does not gather. Crochet over the unused color as they are carried along; this will hide the strands of yarn invisibly and eliminate long unused strands carried across the back of the work.

Sounds like fun to crochet
What is a magic ring? I’m sorry I’m a newbie. Lol so if it sounds dumb… lol… I’m sorry.
Hi Peggy! Here is a helpful article on the magic ring/adjustable ring: https://www.ilikecrochet.com/daily/crochet-references/crochet-pattern-basics/make-an-adjustable-ring/
Hope that helps! – Nicola
Peggy, my new favorite, remarkably easy magic ring is to make a reverse slip stitch, that is, with the short end instead of the long end
What does “working in bl” mean?
bl = back loop
Hi, all. Can someone give me clearer instructions for Round 17-18?
Are there three color changes in these rounds?
Thank you.
There are 2 colors used. Thanks!
