Abbreviations
Pop (Popcorn): Dc 3 times in same st. Remove hook from loop and insert hook from front to back of first dc in group. Pick up dropped loop and pull through loop on hook.
FPtr (Front post triple crochet): Yo twice, insert hook from front around post of indicated st, yo and draw up a loop, (yo and draw through 2 loops) 3 times. Skip sti behind FPtr.
FPtr2tog (Front post triple crochet 2 together): Yo twice, insert hook from front around post of st indicated for first leg, +yo and draw up a loop, (yo and draw through 2 loops) twice,++ yo twice, insert hook from front around post of st indicated for second leg, rep from + to ++, yo and draw through 3 loops. Skip st behind FPtr2tog.

Set up row is worked flat and joined. The rest of cowl is crocheted in the round, moving up the stitch marker each round.

Ch 153.
Set Up Row: Turn, skip first st, sc in next st and in each st across, join with sl st to top of first sc, being careful not to twist, and being working in the round. Place marker and move up each round.
Rnd 1: Ch 1, sc in same st and each of next 2 sts, *pop,** sc in each of next 3 sts; repeat from * around, ending last repeat at **, join with sl st to top of first sc.
Rnd 2: Ch 2 (counts as hdc, here and throughout), hdc in each st around, join with sl st to top of first ch 2.
Rnd 3: Ch 1, sc in same st, *pop, sc,** FPtr2tog (working first leg 2 rounds below in 2nd st before pop and second leg in 2nd st after pop), sc in next; repeat from * around, ending last repeat at **, complete final FPtr2tog with first leg in previous post and second leg in first post, join with sl st to top of first st.
