Yarn: Hoooked Ribbon XL (80% Cotton, 20% Other; 142 yards [130 meters]/250 grams): Bubblegum Pink (1 ball)
Hook: 12.0 mm
Notions: Tapestry needle, sewing needle, 7” / [18 cm] zip, sewing cotton/thread, 8.25” / [21 cm] x 8.25” / [21 cm] fabric in leopard print or contrasting colour, beads to embellish (optional)

Pattern Notes
Clutch is made flat and sewn together.
Due to the nature of the yarn, it is recommended to use a cotton thread to seam the sides.
Use leftover ribbon yarn to create a tassel with your optional beads.
Pattern
Ch 18.
Row 1: Sl st in 2nd ch from hook, *hdc in next ch, sl st in next ch; rep from * across, turn. (17 sts)
Row 2: Ch 1, *hdc in sl st, sl st in hdc; rep from * across, turn.
Row 3: Ch 1, *sl st in hdc, hdc in sl st; rep from * across, turn.
Rows 4-16: Rep Rows 2-3, ending with Row 2.
Row 17: Sl st in each st across.
Fasten off.
Finishing
Weave in all ends.
Fold in half, lengthways, sew side seams with cotton thread.
Lining
Fold fabric in half lengthwise with RS together.
Hem top edges by folding over 0.25” / [0.5 cm] to WS, pin in place, and sew with either sewing machine, or hand sew.
Pin side seams and sew on WS.
Pin zipper and lining in place in clutch, zipper between lining and outer, and hand sew in place along top hem.
