This delicate shawlette design made with soft cotton yarn is inspired by traditional filet crochet technique. A lacy pattern with a stylish flower motif is easy to make with only three stitches needed: chain stitch, slip stitch and double crochet. The fringe gives this shawlette an extra boho look.

Increase 1 Space at the beginning of a row: ch 5, dc in the last st of previous row.
Increase 1 Space at the end of a row: ch 1, tr in same st as dc just made.
Decrease 1 Space at the beginning of a row: ch 3, sk next st, dc in next st.
Decrease 1 Space at the end of a row: sk ch 1, tr in 3rd ch of tch.

Trim the ends if needed to get them all even.
Hi. Something is wrong with the Schematic, appears in solid black, please fix. Thanks!
Thank you for bringing this to our attention! The schematic has been fixed and reuploaded above. Happy crocheting! – Nicola, Editor
I would love to make this shawl but the only chart that shows the pattern is too small to work from. Filet crochet is easy to do if you have a good chart.
Hello! The chart is indeed quite large, which makes it small. Are you able to zoom in using the “+” sign at the top of the page? https://www.ilikecrochet.com/wp-content/uploads/Blythe-Filet-Shawl-Chart.pdf
Would splitting this chart up into several pages be helpful or no? Just wanted to get your feedback before having our graphic designer spilt the chart up. Thank you for bringing this to our attention! – Nicola, Editor

Why no reply? I am also interested in making this shawl, but will have to move on to something else without these corrections.
The fifth file “Blythe Filet Shawl Schematic” comes up as a blank.
blythe filet shawl chart rows 1 -5, 206 -211 & 207 -211
why no charts for rows 6 – 205 also why chart covering same rows bar row 206
Splitting up would be great.
