Special Stitches
4 dc dec over 4 sts: (Yo, draw up lp, yo, draw through 2 lps) 4 times, yo, draw through all 5 lps, ch 1 to close st.
5 dc dec over 5 sts: (Yo, draw up lp, yo draw through 2 lps) 5 times, yo, draw through all 6 lps, ch 1 to close st.
Magic Ring: Cross yarn to form ring, ch 1, work designated number of sts in ring, pull end of yarn to tighten ring,
Cl st (cluster stitch): Ch 3, hdc in 3rd ch from hook.

Motifs are joined together as you go while working the last rnd. Place marker in front side of first motif to help keep track of where you are. Follow chart below for the motif joining sequence.
The joining directions are written below and are divided in sections in order to help keep it as simple as possible. The actual joining is not difficult once you get started.

First Motif
Rnd 1: Make a magic ring, ch 1, 12 sc in ring, tighten ring, join with sl st in first sc. (12 sc)

Rnd 3: Ch 3 (counts as first dc), 4 dc in first ch-sp, [ch 3, 5 dc] in each ch sp around, join with sl st in top of beg ch-3. (30 dc)
Rnd 4: Ch 3, dc in next 4 sts, [ch 3, sc in next ch-3 sp, ch 3, dc in next 5 sts] around, join with sl st in top of beg ch-3. (30 dc, 12 ch-3 sps)
Rnd 5: Ch 2, work 4 dc dec over the next 4 sts, *[ch 5, sc in next ch-3 sp] twice, ch 5, 5 dc dec over the next 5 sts; rep from * around, join with sl st in top of first dec st. (6 dc dec, 18 ch-5 sps)
Rnd 6: Sl st to 3rd ch of first ch-5 sp, ch 1, sc in same sp, [ch 5, sc in next ch sp] around, join with sl st in first sc. (18 ch-5 sps)

Rep Rnds 1-6 of first motif.
Note: Rnd 7 is the joining rnd. Motifs are joined in the ch-3 corner sps and the ch-3 and ch-5 sps along the sides of motifs. The second motif will join to one side. The rest of the motifs will join on 2 or 3 sides. When joining the motifs, Motif A is the current motif you are finishing. Motif B is the motif to your right. Motif C is to the left of B and Motif D is to the left of C. Follow the joining directions below.

Note: When working over the dc sts you will always make a cl st, sk first 2 dc, sc in the next dc, make a cl st, sk next 2 dc, sc in next ch-sp. For the rest of the border you will work [cl st, sc in next ch sp]. Where 2 motif corners are joined together you will work a sc in first corner sp, cl st, sc in next corner sp.
Work in this pattern stitch evenly around, join in first sc.
Fasten off.
Flowers: Use B and smaller hook.
Rnd 1: Join with sc in FL of any skipped st of Rnd 1, [ch 3, sk next sc, sc in next FL] around, join with sl st in first sc. (6 ch sps)
Rnd 2: Sl st in first ch-3 sp, [ch 2, hdc, 2 dc, hdc, ch 2, sl st in same sp, sl st in next ch-3 sp] in each ch-3 sp around.
Fasten off.
Finishing
Weave in all loose ends.
