1 Hold the yarn a few inches from the end and wrap it around your fingers.
2 Insert hook into the wrap and pull up a hook. Chain one and remove loop from fingers.
3 Work stitches of first round into the ring, covering it.
4 To tighten the ring, pull gently but firmly on the yarn tail.
Too complicated. You can do 2 or 3 chains (depending on number of SCs to be placed, then make those SCs into only one loop of the first chain, then pull shut just as good as the magic loop with its endless steps. Works for me, anyway.
Is this the same as a magic ring.
