Your pair of cozy Star Stitch Boot Cuffs, designed by Janaya Chouinard, are going to be completed just in time for winter’s coldest impact! After following along this month—collecting supplies, learning the star stitch, and getting excited for the final product—you now have everything you need to add this beautiful design to your wardrobe. With four different sizes and an easy crochet process, this pattern is for anyone and everyone. Enjoy!
Button Tab Placement: Using the yarn tail, sew the button tab to the inside of the boot cuff. You can use the loops on the back of the hdc stitches as a guide. Fold the tab over the top of the cuff and secure in place by sewing the button through both layers of the tab and the boot cuff.
Sizing:
To determine the size you need, measure around the widest part of the lower leg.

Where is the pattern for the button tab ?
Hello Lisha! Since this pattern was a CAL, the button tab portion is in a separate article. You can find that portion here: https://www.ilikecrochet.com/daily/previews/star-stitch-boot-cuffs-cal-next-steps/
Hope that helps! – Nicola, Editor
How are you starting your first Star Stich of a row? In the beginning chain stitches of a round row are you pulling two loops from the base of the chain two??
There is a great photo tutorial that shows exactly where to place the stitches. Check it out and reach out if you have additional questions.
Where can I find thetutorial
Hi Virginia! You can find the full pattern here: http://www.ilikecrochet.com/wp-content/uploads/Star-Stitch-Boot-Cuffs-Crochet-Along1.pdf

I’m curious about your sizing instructions. I made the cuff 14″ long ( before folding to join) which is supposed to be a size medium, and my gauge is right on.It is too big for my leg and I’m not a small woman! I’m trying to make these as a gift. Is the length that you suggested a stretched out or not stretched measurement?
it calls for a size 5 hook
I used a 5 mm & it measured out perfect
Could you tell me what size hook is used here ?
What size hook?
I love this pattern but for some reason when I do the first row of the star stitch I always end on a count of 17, not entirely sure where I am going wrong?
The Star Stitch Boot Cuffs are Awesome! First I’ve seen in this lacy Star Stitch pattern. Just got started making them… Can’t Wait Til They’re Done!
