Skirt Panel (make 2)

With A, ch 122 (132, 142, 162, 172, 182), turn.

Foundation Row (RS): Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across, turn. Change to B.

Row 1 (WS): Ch 1, sc in next sc, *sk next 4 sc, 7tr in next sc, sk next 4 sc, sc in next sc; rep from * across, turn. Change to A. (97 (105, 113, 129, 137, 145) sts)

Row 2: Ch 1, sc in each st across, turn. Change to C.

Row 3: Ch 4 (counts as tr here and throughout), 3tr in first sc, *sk next 3 sc, sc in next sc, sk next 3 sc, 7tr in next sc; rep from * across, ending with sk next 3 sc, sc in next sc, sk next 3 sc, 4tr in last sc, turn. Change to A.

Row 4: Ch 1, sc in each st across, turn. Change to B.

Row 5: Ch 1, sc in first sc, *sk next 3 sc, 7tr in next sc, sk next 3 sc, sc in next sc; rep from * across, turn. Change to A.

Rows 6-55: Rep Rows 2-5. Last row should be worked in A. Fasten off.

Back Panel

With A, ch 102 (112, 122, 132, 142, 152), turn.

Foundation Row (RS): Sc in the 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across, turn. Change to B.

Row 1 (WS): Ch 1, sc in next sc, *sk next 4 sc, 7tr in next sc, sk next 4 sc, sc in next sc; rep from * across, turn. Change to A. (81 (89, 97, 105, 113, 121) sts)

Row 2: Ch 1, sc in each st across, turn. Change to C.

Row 3: Ch 4 (counts as tr here and throughout), 3tr in the first sc, *sk next 3 sc, sc in next sc, sk next 3 sc, 7tr in next sc; rep from * across, ending with sk next 3 sc, sc in next sc, sk next 3 sc, 4tr in last sc, turn. Change to A.

Row 4: Ch 1, sc in each st across, turn. Change to B.

Row 5: Ch 1, sc in the first sc, *sk next 3 sc, 7tr in next sc, sk next 3 sc, sc in next sc; rep from * across, turn. Change to A.

Rows 6-27: Rep Rows 2-5. Last row should be worked in C.

Front Panel

Work as Back Panel until completion of Row 27. Change to A.

Row 28: Ch 1, sc in next 40 (44, 48, 52, 56, 62) sts, leave rem sts unworked, change to B, turn.

Row 29: Ch 1, sl st in next 3 sts, change to B, join B to next st, 7tr in same st, *sk next 4 sc, sc in next sc; 7tr in next sc; rep from * across, turn. Change to A.

Row 30: Ch 1, sl st in next 4 sts, sc in each st to end of row. Change to C, turn.

Row 31: Ch 1, sl st in next 4 sts, *sc in next st, sk 3 sts, 7tr in next st; rep from * to end of row, turn. Change to A.

Row 32: Ch 1, sl st in next 4 sts, sc in each st to end of row. Change to B, turn.

Other Side (bust) of Front Panel

Join yarn to unworked center st.

Row 28: Ch 1, sc in next 41 (45, 49, 52, 57, 63) sts, leave rem sts unworked, change to B, turn.

Row 29: Ch 1, sl st in next 3 sts, change to B, join B to next st, 7tr in same st, *sk next 4 sc, sc in next sc; 7tr in next sc; rep from * across, turn. Change to A.

Row 30: Ch 1, sl st in next 4 sts, sc in each st to end of row. Change to C, turn.

Row 31: Ch 1, sl st in next 4 sts, *sc in next st, sk 3 sts, 7tr in next st; rep from * to end of row, turn. Change to A.

Row 32: Ch 1, sl st in next 4 sts, sc in each st to end of row. Change to B, turn.

Row 33: Ch 1, sl st in next 3 sts, change to B, join B to next st, 7tr in same st, *sk next 4 sc, sc in next sc; 7tr in next sc; rep from * across. Change to A, turn.

Row 34: Ch 1, sl st in next 4 sts, sc in each st to end of row. Change to C, turn.

Row 35: Ch 1, sl st in next 4 sts, *sc in next st, sk 3 sts, 7tr in next st; rep from * to end of row, turn. Change to A.

Row 36: Ch 1, sl st in next 4 sts, sc in each st to end of row. Change to B, turn.

Row 37: Join yarn to center st, work 7tr, fasten off.

Three-Stitch Romanian Cord (make 6: 2 of each color)

Rnd 1: Ch 2, sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in first ch, turn work clockwise, sc in lp of bump at beg of row, rnd is now joined. (3 sc)

Spirals: Cont to work in a clockwise manner, insert hook in next st, yo, draw up a lp, yo, draw through 2 lps (sc made), cont to sc in this manner (alternating from side to side) in a spiral until Cord meas 13”.

Fasten off.

Finishing

Block each panel and cords.

Work 3 rows (alternating colors) of sc along the front yoke (neckline).

With C, work 2 rows of sc across back piece.

Join Skirt panels at the sides and the bodice panels at the sides.

Attach cords to the garment, connecting the front and back panels.

Join skirt to bodice.
