Vertically worked with offset, mini-shell stitches to create a seamless tank top, this design has no right or wrong side. Shaping is completed with increases and decreases on one side of the row only which allows for an easier-to-manage garment appearance. The longer length adds to the style, with an unfinished edge to add a nice scalloped effect that’s chic and effortless.

Pattern Notes
This pattern is worked vertically from side to side.
Turning edges will not be even/straight. The turning edges will create a “scalloped” effect.
To join as you go and eliminate seaming at shoulders, when finishing last stitch of row slip stitch to adjacent row of opposite shoulder (front right to back right, front left to back left), slip stitch in next row or adjacent shoulder (this counts as the ch 1 of the row turn), turn and work next row.
To join as you go and eliminate seaming at side seam, when working the last row *remove hook from working loop, insert hook front to back, through the unused loops of beginning chain that contains stitches (do not use skipped chains), pull through the working loop of yarn, work (sc, ch 1, sc) in indicated stitch; rep from * across.
For a smoother effect with the Arm Hole and Neck Edging, when working over “steps” created from row decreases, work a decrease stitch (sc3tog: insert hook in first st, YO, pull up a loop, insert hook in next st, YO, pull up a loop, insert hook of last st, YO, pull up a loop, YO, pull through all 4 loops), over the first stitch before the step, the side of the row, and the next stitch of the next row.

Where is the Schematic for this tank? I love the way it looks and can’t wait to try to make it!
Hi Eve, schematics are available for logged in gold members, and the schematic appears as a blue button at the bottom of the pattern. – Nicola, Editor
Nice pattern & all those photos, but not one of the back. Hopefully it’s not a “V” shape! Will probably crochet it as it looks nice & loose which means comfortable in my book. Cheers.
Carol
Hi Carol, sorry about that! We were excited to show the versatile ways to wear this tank top that we evidently didn’t take a photo of the back. The schematic shows that the back is not a v-shape though, so I hope that helps! https://www.ilikecrochet.com/wp-content/uploads/Easygoing-Crochet-Tank-Schematic.jpg
