River Walk Crochet Duster

Elegant and airy, this crochet duster is perfect for layering over dresses or a tee shirt and jeans. An all-over leaf lace pattern is made up of mostly double crochet and chain stitches, making it very intuitive to work. Sleeves feature simple shell lace patterns and are worked seamlessly from the armholes. Finished with a trellis-style fringe that adds a nice decorative touch and gives an opportunity to practice another popular craft: macramé.

All beginning chains count as stitches.

  • Hello, could you please share the crochet pattern chart as well? The written instructions are not very clear and I am stuck on Row 1 as the count/pattern does not make to seem sense. Am really looking forward to making this item! Thank you.

    • Hello,

With recommended ease of 10-12”, the pattern will fit sizes XS/S (M/L, XL/2XL, 3XL/4XL, 5XL).

  • Would it be possible to get the yarn yardage per size?
I’ll have to substitute a different yarn when I make this, and, with the yarns I’ve been looking at, 750 yards could be 3 skeins, or 8.

      Hello,
Thank you for your question. The approximate yardage for the sizes are 1500 (1650, 1800, 1950, 2100) yards.

        Hello Nicola,
Thank you for bringing this to my attention. It appears that additional sizes were left in the pattern by mistake. At the given gauge, the pattern is sized for a total of 5 size. The first 5 numbers in each instance are correct, and correspond to the 5 sizes listed in the beginning of the pattern.

I am wondering why at the beginning of the pattern you have 5 numbers listed, ie: 44 (55, 66, 77, 88) inches, but when I get to the Leaf Lace Pattern part of this pattern it has 6 numbers listed, ie: 5 (7, 9, 11, 13, 15) times. Which numbers do I use for which sizes in the pattern?

  • I am confused. I was Marking which numbers correspond to the size I want to make and noticed a problem.
In the beginning and set up chains and row of the pattern it shows 5 sizes but when I get to the Leaf Lace part of the pattern it has 6 sizes listed. Which of the numbers from the beginning correspond to the numbers in the Leaf Lace Pattern? Thank you!
