Pattern Notes

The cardigan is worked seamlessly, bottom-up to underarm. After separation, the Fronts and Back continued individually, shaping the neck. After seaming shoulder seams, sleeves worked top-down from armholes, in the round. Shell edging is worked around cuffs, hem, and front edges.

Ch 3 counts as DC at beginning of row.

Filet crochet pattern is based on a grid of square spaces that are either “open” or “filled”. Each space is made up of 2 sts: DC + ch 1, or 2 DC, and is finished with an additional DC at the end of the row. After initial chain count, the pattern uses spaces (sps) for counting.
