Pattern Notes
This pattern is worked widthwise from one long edge to the other. Once the poncho is finished a sc edge is worked around all edges.
Turn at the end of every row unless indicated otherwise.
Ch 2 counts as the first hdc.
Ch 3 counts as the first dc.
To change yarn color, fasten off current yarn, pick up next yarn color and join it to the top of the last st or tch with a sl st, carrying the unused yarn colors loosely up the sides of the work.
The striped section is worked with one color at a time. The Vst is worked in front of the previous rows Vst and into the ch-sp of the Vst from the row below. The legs of the new Vst should sit between the legs of the Vst from the previous row. For example, the Vst for row 7 (MC) is worked into the ch-sp of the Vst from Row 5 (CC1) and sits inside the legs of the Vst from Row 6 (CC2).
