Charts may be read from left to right or from right to left. Only the center 40 stitches of each row are shown in each chart.
For each row with a chart, work 34 sc stitches with MC, work the chart, then work 34 sc stitches with MC.
To change colors, yarn over with the new color to complete the last stitch in the old color.

On the chart for the full moon the chart goes from row 222 to naming the next row as 229. Is this an error in numbering or are rows 223-228 implied as the same as 222 and 229 and simply not shown? Thank you for this clarification.
