Materials
Yarn: Red Heart With Love (100% acrylic; 370 yards [338 meters]/198 grams): #1502 Iced Aqua (A, 1 skein), #1303 Aran (B, 1 skein)
Hook: US size H/8 (5.0 mm) hook or size needed for gauge
Special Stitches
Shell: 2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc.
Pattern
Row 1 (RS): With A ch 27, shell in 6th ch from hook, skip 2 chs, dc in next ch**, skip 2 chs, shell in next ch, repeat from * across ending last repeat at **, turn.
Row 2: Ch 3, shell in next ch 1 space, skip 2 dcs**, bpdc around the post of the next dc, repeat
from * across ending last repeat at **, dc in 3rd ch of turning ch, fasten off and turn.
Row 3: Join B in first dc, ch 3, *shell in next ch 1 space, skip 2 dcs**, fpdc around the post of the next dc, repeat from * across ending last repeat at **, dc in 3rd ch of turning ch, turn.
Row 4: Repeat Row 2, fasten off and turn.
Color Scheme
Continue repeating Rows 2 and 3 for a total of 66 rows as follows:
(2 rows A, 2 rows B) 15 times, 2 rows A
To add length to the scarf, continue with the color scheme as above until desired length is reached.
Edging
With B work along top edge (sc, ch 2, dc) in first dc, [(sc, ch 2, dc) in ch 1 space of shell,
(sc, ch 2, dc) in post dc] across ending sc in last dc and fasten off.
Work along bottom edge (sc, ch 2, dc) in first ch, [sc, ch 2, dc) in ch below shell, (sc, ch 2. dc) in ch below post dc] across ending sc in last ch and fasten off.

Love the pattern. I worked it in Isaac Mizrahi craft premier yarn in a teal blue with sequins. Scarf is beautiful. Used 3 oz of yarn to make.
