Mustard Seed Fingerless Gloves

Spice up your winter look with a pair of crossed cables fingerless mitts. The mustard yarn and classic decorative buttons add style to this classic set of gloves. Small modifications to the pattern are all you need to make these longer for a more demure look.

Skill Level: Intermediate

Size: Palm circumference: 7”; Wrist circumference: 6 1/2”; Total length: 5 1/4”

Gauge: With smaller hook, first 4 rows in patt = 6 1/2” x 1 1/4” (5 dc post sts = 1”)

Materials

Yarn: Manos del Uruguay Serena (60% alpaca, 40% pima cotton; 170 yards [155 meters]/50 grams): #2020 Curry (1 skein)
Hook: US size D/3 (3.25 mm) and E/4 (3.5 mm) hooks

Pattern Notes

Mitt is intended to fit snugly around palm. Keep in mind that the fabric is stretchy and can fit a slightly larger wrist and palm. To make it larger, work more increases in row 5, and add plain stitches (not in cable pattern) at beginning and ends of rounds. The wrist band can also be made larger with extra stitches, just make sure that you have an even number.
