Espresso Your Love Doily

A uniquely square doily shows your love with lots of small hearts. The combination of red and cream give it that old Victorian look.

Materials

Lace weight yarnYarn: Aunt Lydia’s Classic Size 10 Crochet Thread (100% Cotton: 400 yards [320 meters]/ 80 grams): #0210 Antique White (C1, 1 ball), Aunt Lydia’s Classic Size 10 Crochet Thread (100% Cotton: 350 yards [320 meters]/80 grams): #0494 Victory Red (C2, 1 ball)

Hook: Size 7(1.65mm)

Notions: Blocking Board, stainless steel pins, spray starch if desired, tapestry needle.

Triple Treble (trtr): Yo hook 3 times, insert into specified st or sp, (yo, draw through 2 lps on hook) 4 times.

Quadruple Treble (quad tr): Yo hook 4 times, insert into specified st or sp, (yo, draw through 2 lps on hook) 5 times.

Beginning V-st (beg V-st): Ch 6, dc in same st or sp as ch-6.

V-st: (dc, ch 3, dc) all in indicated st or sp.

Triple Crochet V-st (tr V-st): (Tr, ch 3, tr) worked in specified sp.

Rnd 1 (RS): With C1, make a Magic Loop, ch 1, (sc, ch 3) 8 times in ring, join in beg sc, pull beg length to close. (8 sc, 8 ch-3 sps)

Rnd 2: Sl st in next ch-3 sp, ch 1, (sc, ch 3) in same ch-3 sp and each rem ch-3 around, join in beg sc. (8 sc, 8 ch-3 sps)

Rnd 3: Sl st in next ch-3 sp, ch 1, (sc, ch 5) in same ch-3 sp and each rem ch-3 sp around, fasten off. (8 sc, 8 ch-5 sps)
