Laila is a good introduction to the C2C stitch pattern with just enough color changes to really get the hang of this stitch. The Hygge yarn is a dream to work with, so soft and yet sturdy. The overall design is fairly easy and quick to make.

C2C – corner to corner block stitch
Pattern Notes
Wind each color yarn into 3 small balls, leaving some in the main yarn ball. You will use separate balls for each section of color so there are not as many ends to weave in later.
Follow color changes according to chart.
When changing colors, drop the current color and pull up the new color when making the sl st into top of ch-3 at end of a block of stitches.
Make 2 pieces. Front and back are the same.
