Hook: US size H/8 (5.0 mm)

Pattern
First Potholder
Ch 31.
Row 1: With C4, sc in 2nd ch from hook and each ch across. Turn (30 sc at end of this row)
Row 2: Ch 1, sc in each sc across. Turn.
Rows 3-35: Rep Row 2. At end of Row 35, fasten off.
Edging
With C2, sl st in first st of Row 35, sl st in each end rows, ch-sps and sc around, sl st in last st, ch 15 (for loop), sl st in same sp. Fasten off.
Second Potholder
With C2, rep Rows 1-35 as for First Potholder.
Rep Edging using C4.
Petals (make 6 with C2 and 6 with C4)
Ch 14.
Sc in 2nd ch from hook, hdc in next ch, dc in next 2 chs, tr in next 2 chs, dtr in next 2 chs, tr in next 2 chs, dc in next ch, hdc in next ch, (sc, ch 1, sc) in last ch.
Working on opposite side of starting ch, hdc in next ch, dc in next ch, tr in next 2 chs, dtr in next 2 chs, tr in next 2 chs, dc in next 2 chs, hdc in next ch, sc in last ch, sl st to join in first sc. Fasten off.
Top Stitching
With tapestry needle and using C4 on C2 leaves, backstitch on edge of leaves. For C4 leaves, use C2.
Sew leaves around center of each Potholder, using picture as a guide.
Center of Potholder
Form a Magic Circle.
Rnd 1: With C3, ch 1, work 6 sc in circle, sl st to join in first sc. (6 sc)
Rnd 2: Ch 1, work 2 sc in each st around, sl st to join in first sc. (12 sc)
Rnd 3: Ch 1, work *2 sc in next st, sc in next st; rep from * around. (18 sc)
Fasten off.
With C1, rep Rnds 1-3.
Edging for Centers
C3 Center of Potholder: With C2, sl st in any st of Rnd 3 of Centers, sl st in each st around, sl st to join. Fasten off.
C1 Center of Potholder: Rep as for C3, but using C4 for edging.
Finishing
Sew C3 center in middle of C4 leaves.
Sew C1 center in middle of C2 leaves.
Weave in all ends.
