Pattern Notes
The size of the cowl can be adjusted by adding or leaving out chains in the first row, as long as the total amount of chains is an uneven number.
Do not turn at the end of each row.
Pattern

Row 2. Chain 2 (these chains do not count as a stitch), make 1 half double crochet in the base where you just made the 2 chains, make 1 half double crochet in each stitch around, skip the 2 chains and make 1 slip stitch in the first half double crochet that you made at the beginning of this row. (75)

(75)
Row 20. Chain 1 (this chain does not count as a stitch), make 1 single crochet in the base where you just made the chain, make 1 single crochet in each stitch around, make 1 slip stitch in the chain you made at the beginning of this row that counted as the first single crochet, fasten off and work away yarn ends.

Wow, I can’t believe how clearly written out the instructions are. Other written instructions have left me confused due to the number of abbreviations used. This is so helpful for a beginner like me. I am so glad I upgraded to Gold membership, thank you.
So pretty, made this and so easy and great pattern. Thank you.
I just joined on 12/12/20. Can I expect to have a magazine sent to my home on a monthly basis? Please advise, as this was a gift.
Thanks, Cynthia Gara
Hi Cynthia! I Like Crochet magazine is a digital-only magazine that publishes 6 times a year. With your membership you are able to access all of the patterns in our archives too! Please let us know if you have any questions at all and enjoy your gift! – Nicola, Editor
There is so much to see and read-I can’t believe it, I am thrilled!
So glad to hear, Susan!!
You have apparently given the knitting gauge for this yarn, as on the yarn website. But in this gauge, 8″ = 48 rows, and the pattern finishes with 20 rows. In stitches, 21″ = ~95 stitches, not 75. I have not actually made a swatch yet, but the math doesn’t look right. ?
