Row 2: Ch 3, turn (counts as first dc), dc in next 2 dc, *ch 1, skip ch-1 sp, dc in next 2 dc; rep from * across row, ending with dc in last dc. (107 ch and dc)
Row 3: Same as Row 2, changing to A in last dc
Row 4: With A, ch 1, turn, sc in first 3 dc, *ch 1, skip ch-1 sp, sc in next 2 dc; rep from * across row, ending with sc in last dc, change to B.

Edging
Rnd 1: Attach D with ch-1 in top of last dc. With D, work 3 sc in first dc, sc evenly along side edge of blanket, work 3 sc in first ch at corner of beginning ch edge, sc across beg ch edge, work 3 sc in last ch, sc evenly along rem side edge, make sc in first dc at top edge, sc across dc row in each dc and ch-1 sp, ending with sl st to join in first sc. Fasten off D.
Rnd 2: Attach B in center sc at corner with ch 1, work 3 sc in this center corner sc, *sc in each sc across row to next corner sc, 3 sc in corner; rep from * around, ending with 3 sc in corner, sl st to join in first sc. Fasten off B.
Rnd 3: Same as Rnd 2, using C.
Rnd 4: Same as Rnd 2, using A.
Rnd 5 (Hdc Picot Edging): Attach MC in any A sc of edging, *ch 2, hdc in same sc, skip next sc, sl st in next sc; rep from * around, ending with sl st into attaching sp. Fasten off.
Finishing
