With MC, ch 37.
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across. Turn. (36 sc)

Rows 2: Ch 1, sc in each ch across. Turn. (36 sc)

Rows 3-58: Rep Row 2.

Row 59: Working in BLO in this row, ch 1, sc in each sc across. Turn. Mark each end of this row.

Row 60: Working in both loops, ch 1, sc in each sc across. Turn.

Rows 61-68 (Flap): Rep Row 2. At end of Row 68, fasten off.

Border

With wrong sides together, bring Row 1 to marked row. Starting at left end and working through both ends of rows, join with sl st, ch 1, sc in first st, ch 1, sk next st, sc in next st. Work same pattern around to last marker. Fasten off.

Closure Band

With CC, ch 5.

Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and each ch across. Turn. (4 sc)
