La Plage Bracelet

Inspired by larger granny projects, this simple bracelet works up very quickly. Metal jewelry findings give it a professional look.

Skill Level: Easy

Size:  2” tall x 6” long without clasp

Gauge: Granny squares = 2” square after wet blocking

Materials

Yarn:

Lace Weight Yarn Aunt Lydia’s Fashion 3 (100% Cotton; 150 yards [137 meters]/50 grams): 65 Warm Teal, 1 ball

Hook: US Size D/3 (3.25 mm)

Notions: 2 End Bars with 7 loops, one 11mm lobster clasp, one 5mm jump ring; tapestry needle

Pattern Notes

Dc cl: Yo, insert hook in next stitch, yo, pull up a loop, yo, draw through 2 loops on hook, yo, insert hook in same stitch, yo, pull up a loop, yo, draw through 2 loops on hook, leaving last loop of this dc on the hook (3 loops on hook), yo, pull loop through all 3 loops on hook

Pattern

Granny Square (Make 3)

Ch 2.

Round 1: 4 Sc in 2nd ch from hook, join with sl st – 4 sts.
Round 2: *Ch 3, dc cl, sl st in ring (one petal made); rep from * three times – 4 petals.
Round 3: Sl st to dc cl center of petal, *ch 3, sl st in dc cl of next petal; rep from *three times.
Round 4: Sl st to ch-3 sp, ch 3 (counts as dc), (dc 2, ch 3, dc 3) in ch-3 sp, ch 1, *(dc 3, ch 3, dc 3) in ch-3 sp, ch 1; rep from * two times, join with sl st to top of tch.
Round 5: Sl st to ch-3 sp, ch 3 (counts as dc), (dc 2, ch 3, dc 3) in ch-3 sp, ch 1, *3 dc in ch-1 sp, ch 1, (dc 3, ch 3, dc 3) in ch-3 sp, ch 1; rep from * two times, 3 dc in ch-1 sp, ch 1, join with sl st to top of tch.

Fasten off.

Finishing

Weave in ends and block squares.

Sew squares together along sides as shown in picture.

Sew end bars to each end.

Attach lobster claw using a jump ring to one end.
