Yarn: Bernat Baby Blanket (100% polyester; 86 yards [78 meters]/100 grams): #03010 Baby Sand (MC, 3 balls), #03512 Baby Peach (A, 3 balls), #03417 Baby Rose (B, 2 balls)
Hook: US size M/13 (9.0 mm) hook or size needed to obtain gauge

Pattern
With MC, ch 58.
Row 1 (RS): 1 dc in 6th ch from hook (counts as 1 dc. Ch 1. 1 dc). *Ch 1. Skip next ch. 1 dc in next ch. Rep from * to end of chain. Turn. (55 sts or 27 ch-1 sps)
Row 2: Ch 4 (counts as dc and ch 1). Skip next ch-1 sp. 1 dc in next dc. *Ch 1. Skip next dc. 1 dc in next dc. Rep from * to end of row, ending with 1 dc in 4th ch of turning ch. Join A. Turn.
Row 3: With A, as 2nd row. Join B. Turn.
Row 4: With B, as 2nd row. Join A. Turn.
Row 5: With A, as 2nd row. Join MC. Turn.
Rows 6-7: With MC, as 2nd row. Join A. Turn.
Rep rows 3rd to 7th for pat 5 times more. Fasten off.
Weaving
Cut lengths of yarn approx 52” [132 cm] long. Taking 2 strands tog and beg at lower edge, weave vertically under and over rows in ch-1 sps up to top edge, noting strands will alternate ‘under’ and ‘over’ rows to create woven appearance.
With RS of Blanket facing and working from left to right, weave strands in the following color sequence (leaving approx 6” [15 cm] at each end for fringe):
(MC) 2 times. *A, B, A, (MC) twice.* Rep the sequence of 5 strands between * to * 4 times more. (See Color Placement Diagram for Weaving).
Take care to not pull strands too tightly.
Fringe
Cut lengths of yarn approx 12” [30.5 cm] long. Taking 2 strands tog, fold in half and knot into fringe, taking yarn tails from weaving into fringe across ends of Blanket. Trim fringe evenly.
