Special Stitches
Crochet Grit Stitch (multiple of 2 sts, + 1)
Row 1: Ch as described above, sc in 3rd ch from the hook, *sk next ch, 2 sc in next ch; rep from * until 2 ch rem, sk next ch, sc in the last ch, turn.
Row 2: Ch 1, sc in first st, *sk next st, 2 sc in next st; rep until 1 st rem, sk st and sc into the turning ch, turn.
Rep Row 2 for pattern.
Reverse Single Crochet
Instead of working from right to left, work from left to right.
Row 1: Ch 1, working from left to right, sk first st, insert hook from front to back in next st to the right, yo, pull lp through st, yo, pull through 2 lps on hook (1 sc made)

Shape Armholes

Shape Neck

Working both sides at same time, working Dec Row at each neck edge once. (4 (9, 10, 12) sts each side)

Finishing
Sew shoulder seams. Sew side seams.
Neck Edging
With Color B, work 1 Rnd in Rev sc evenly around neck opening.
Armhole Edging
With Color B, work 1 Rnd in Rev sc evenly around each armhole.
Bottom Edging
With Color B, work 1 Rnd in Rev sc evenly around bottom part of dress.
Fasten off. Weave in all ends.
Lovely little pattern but not sure about the …”Front and Back pieces are worked sideways…”. Seems to me it’s worked bottom to top.
