Materials
Yarn: Bravo Schachenmayr (100% acrylic; 146 yards [133 meters]/50 grams): #08224 White (MC1, 1 ball), #08226 Black (CC1, 1 ball), #08234 Neon Pink (CC2, less than one ball)
Hooks: US size G/6 (4.0 mm), US size C/2 (3.0 mm) hooks
Notions: Stitch markers, tapestry needle, small amounts of felt in white and black
Special Stitches
Popcorn Stitch: Work 5 hdc in st or sp as indicated by pattern, drop loop from hook, insert hook in first st of group, pick up dropped loop & draw through.

Body
Using MC, ch 2 and make 6 sc in second ch from hook or Magic ring, make 6 sc in magic ring.
Row 1: Sc and then pop in first stitch and in each stitch around. (6 sc + 6 pop = 12 sts)
Row 2: 2 sc in each stitch around. (24 sc)
Row 3: Sc in first stitch, pop in next stitch, repeat around. (12 sc + 12 pop = 24sts)
Row 4: Sc in each stitch around. (24 sc)
Row 5: Sc in first stitch, pop in next stitch, repeat around. (12 sc + 12 pop = 24 sts)
Row 6: Sc in first st, sc in next st, scdec, repeat around. (18 sts)
Row 7: Sc in first stitch, pop in next stitch, repeat around. (9 sc + 9 pop = 18 sts)
Row 8: Sc in first st, scdec, repeat around. (12 sts)
Row 9: Sc in first stitch, pop in next stitch, repeat around. (6 sc + 6 pop = 12 sts)
Row 10: Scdec, repeat around. (6 sts)
Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing to head.
Head
Using MC, ch 2 and make 6 sc in second ch from hook or Magic ring, make 6 sc in magic ring.

Change to CC1.
Row 6: Sc in first st, sc in next st, scdec, repeat around. (9 sts)
Row 7: Sc in first st, scdec, repeat around. (6 sts)
Row 8: Scdec, repeat around. (3 sts)
Fasten off.
Ears (Make 2)
Using Yarn B, Ch 6, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across. (5 sts)
Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing to head.
Legs (make 4)
Using CC1, ch 2 and make 5 sc in second ch from hook or magic ring, make 5 sc in magic ring.
Row 1: Sc tbl in each st around. (5 sts)
Rows 2-4: Sc in each st around. (5 sts)
Fasten off, leaving long tail for sewing to body.
Eyes
Using white felt cut two roundish joined eyes. Using black felt cut two small round pieces as pupils. Glue or sew onto to head.
Bow
Using CC2, ch 8, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across, turn and ch 1. (7 sts)
Row 1: Sc in each st across, turn and ch 1. (7 sts)
Pinch in middle and wrap a piece of yarn around the middle.
Fasten off, leaving long tail for sewing to head.
For black sheep, repeat the Basic Sheep pattern using Yarn B for all pieces.
For shaved sheep repeat the Basic Sheep pattern making the following changes to body.
Body
Using MC, follow the Basic Sheep pattern up to Round 5.
Rows 6-10: Sc in each st around. (5 sts)
Row 11: Sc in first st, sc in next st, scdec, repeat around. (18 sts)
Row 12: Sc in first st, scdec, repeat around. (12 sts)
Row 13: Scdec, repeat around. (6 sts)
Fasten off.
Tail
Using MC, ch 2, make 1 pop in 2nd ch from hook.
Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing to body.
