Gauge: Crab Rnd 3 = 2.5” [6 cm]
MATERIALS
Yarn: Garnstudio DROPS Paris (100% cotton; 82 yards [75 meters]/50 grams): 17 Off White (1 ball)
Hook: US size E/4 (3.5 mm)
Notions: Removable marker, tapestry needle, seashells in different shapes, piece of wood to hang the ornaments
PATTERN NOTES
The beginning ch-2 doesn’t count as a stitch.
For a tight, no-hole result make back loop hdc into the back loop and into the middle loop at the back of the stitch.
Gauge is not critical to this project. it can be crocheted using any weight yarn working with smaller hook than recommended.

Make a magic ring.
Rnd 1: Ch 2, make 10 hdc in the ring, join with sl st to first hdc. (10 sts)
Rnd 2: Ch 2, make 2 hdc in BL each st around, join. (20 sts)
Rnd 3: Ch 2, *make 2 hdc in BL next st, hdc in BL next st; rep from * around, join. (30 sts)
Rnd 4 (Left Claw): Ch 7, sc in 3rd ch from hook, 2 hdc in next 2 ch, hdc in each of next 2 ch, join with sl st to 2nd hdc in base, sl st in next st.
(Left Legs): *Ch 4, sc in 3rd ch from hook, sc in next ch, join with sl st to 2nd hdc in base; rep from * twice more, sl st to next 6 sts.
(Right Legs): *Ch 4, sc in 3rd ch from hook, sc in next ch, join with sl st to 2nd hdc in base; rep from * twice more, sl st in next st.
(Right Claw): Ch 9, sc in 3rd ch from hook, (hdc2tog over next 2 ch) twice, hdc in last 2 ch, join with sl st to 2nd hdc in base, sl st in last 6 sts in base.
Fasten off. Weave in ends.
