Pattern Notes

I used chainless starting dc for every first dc of each row instead of ch 3. There’s another good crochet technique to use is ch 2 then dc into same stitch (counted as first dc). In the pattern you’ll see that I simply state dc into first stitch for every first dc of each row, so just choose your best technique.

This crochet tunic pattern is worked in rows and from top down. The tunic is made by 2 identical pieces, then seam to join shoulder and body lines.

Row 1: Ch 82 (97, 112), dc into 3rd ch from hook (first 2 ch doesn’t count as first dc), dc in next 4 ch, ch 2, sk next 4 ch, 3 dc into next ch, ch 3, 3 dc in next ch, ch 2, sk next 4 ch, (dc in next 5 ch, ch 2, sk next 4 ch, 3 dc in next ch, ch 3, 3 dc in next ch, ch 2, sk next 4 ch) 4 (5, 6) times, dc in next 5 ch, turn.

Row 2: (Dc in next 5 sts, ch 2, sk next ch-2 sp and next 3 sts, (3 dc, ch 3, 3 dc) in next ch-3 sp, ch 2, sk next 3 sts and next ch-2 sp) 5 (6, 7) times, dc in next 5 sts, turn.

Seam shoulders using sc or sl st across 11 (13, 15) sts each side

Seam body at sides using sc or sl st leaving 14 (15, 16) rows from top down for armholes, and leaving 12 rows for side slits.

Sleeves

Notes: Sleeves are work in rounds.

Join yarn and insert hook into the place where you made the last st of side seam for body.

Rnd 1: Sc around Armholes, working 2 sc in each dc, sl st in first st to join – 56 (60, 64) sts.

Rnd 2: (Sc, ch 3, sc) in first st, sk next st, *(sc, ch3, sc) in next st, sk next st; rep from * around, sl st in first st to join.

Fasten off.
