Pink lace could be a recipe for sugar-sweet disaster, but not if it’s balanced with geometric structure and trimmed in a tonal color. These surprising Tunisian lace curtain panels hit just the right balance—open, airy and light—with just the right amount of color contrast at the curtain rod band.

Pattern Notes
Panels are created vertically, with curtain rod pocket created after main body of curtain panel is completed.
When creating main body of curtain panels, never turn work. When working all forward rows of Tunisian stitches, always skip the first stitch in the row; additionally, work in pattern stitch until last stitch in row and always end row working Tss in final stitch.
Tip: Creating your initial chain in a hook one size larger than pattern calls for can aid in creating a flat, non-curling initial row.

Fold end of curtain rod pocket lengthwise to ws of curtain, lining up hdc and ch-1 sps of 7th row with 1st row. Pin in place. Thread fastening off tail into large-eyed sewing needle and sew bottom of curtain rod pocket.
Ribbon Placement
Cut a 32” piece of ribbon. With rs of curtain facing, weave ribbon through hdc/ch-1 openings in rod pocket. Once woven across width of curtain, make a loose knot with approximately 1” of ribbon extending beyond knot. Repeat knot at other end of curtain rod pocket. Cut any excess, creating a deep diagonal cut on each edge.
Optional Ribbon Tie
Cut a 32” piece of ribbon, creating a deep diagonal cut on each end. Fold curtain in half lengthwise. Weave ribbon through stitches widthwise at fold.
Thread curtain rod through curtain rod pocket. Hang.
