Fpdc: Front post double crochet
Bpdc: Back post double crochet
Fptr: Front post triple crochet
Pattern
Ch 9.
Row 1: Sc in the second chain from hook and in each across. (8 sts)
Row 2: Ch 1, sc 2, fpdc 4, sc 2.
Row 3: Ch 1, sc 2, bpdc 4, sc 2.
Row 4: Ch 1, sc 2, skip 2 stitches, fptr on next 2 stitches, working over the last two stitches, fptr on the 2 skipped stitches, sc 2 in last 2 unworked stitches.
Row 5: Ch 1, sc 2, bpdc 4, sc 2.
Row 6: Repeat Row 4.
Row 7: Repeat Row 5.
Rows 8-9: Repeat Row 1 & 2.
Repeat Rows 1-9 two more times. Fasten off. Weave in ends.
Need it longer or shorter? Continue following pattern until desired length is reached.
Using yarn needle, sew ends together.

Ch 5, sl st to first ring to join.
Rnd 1: Ch 4, dc in ring, * dc, ch1, repeat from * 5 more times, sl st to ch 3 of first ch 4 to join.
Rnd 2: (Sl st, ch 1, 2 dc, ch 1, sl st to same chain), in each ch 1 space. Fasten off. Weave in ends.
Using sewing needle and thread, sew button onto middle of seam. Slip flower over button to finish.
