The open, lattice-like stitches along the edges of this scarf contrast sharply with the thick, cable center to create an accessory that is both warm and stunning. This project is likely to be your go-to pattern for gifts this year!

Then the lattice-like edging is added on both sides of this center section.
Lastly, the simple border is added with a contrasting color.

I wish you gave multiples with new stitches – I’d like to make it wider.
Hi Nancy! We’ve reached out to the designer for advice and she or I will reply as soon as possible. Thanks! – Nicola
Hello! Quick answer would be just to repeat everything that is included in the scarf again. The designer is going to take a closer look at the pattern and provide some more insight soon. Thanks! – Nicola
Hi Nancy! The designer suggests that you simply make the scarf several times and sew them together since in the pattern you make the cable section first and then add the lattice on each end.
Another option would be to make the cabled section wider is to add multiples of 18 for each additional cable section (without the ch 3, dc on the starting end and without the 2 dcs on the ending side).
Hope this helps! – Nicola
