Kathleen Berlew

Kathleen Berlew crocheted her first project--a crooked potholder made with gray rug yarn--when she was seven. Thankfully, her skills and design style have evolved since then. In her crochet designs, she loves combining colors and textures to create accessories and home décor items that are eye-catching, interesting, and accessible to crocheters of all skill levels. She appreciates the meditative aspect of crochet, and enjoys the process as much as the finished product.

Kathleen's crochet designs have appeared in Crochet!, Crochet World, Annie's special newsstand issues, and Craft Ideas magazine. She also designs cross-stitch and hand-sewing patterns, which you'll find on her blog and Instagram.

Florence Scalloped Clutch

A row of pretty scallops accents the flap of this vintage styled clutch. A chain-stitch loop and vintage button provide the bag’s closure and add an elegant touch. Simple to stitch in a single panel of worsted-weight coral cotton yarn, this project is ideal for summer stitching and accessorizing.
