Joan Beebe

Joan Beebe works full-time in IT and moonlights as a knit and crochet designer and tech editor from her home in the rolling hills of North Carolina. She learned to knit as a child, then taught herself to crochet to land a job as a pattern writer, and the rest is history. Her IT and needlework worlds have recently collided, resulting in a new iOS app, Knit Figures!, that will be released in Spring, 2016.

In her spare time, she fights an epic battle to keep dog hair out of yarn, collects fresh eggs from her backyard chickens and avoids contact with her husband’s honey bees.
