Berry Kiss Cowl Top

This berry pink cowl tank works perfectly for any summer barbecue or concert and is a must-make accessory for the summer.

Skill Level: Intermediate

Yarn: Premier Yarns Cotton Fair (52% cotton, 48% acrylic; 317 yards [290 meters]/100 grams): #27-07 Bright Peach (3 skeins)
Hook: US size G/6 (4.0 mm) hook or size needed to obtain gauge
Notions: Stitch markers, tapestry needle

Tank is crocheted in pieces, worked from the bottom up and then sewn together. The cowl neck is worked last.

Shape Armholes

(Note: Tank is worked in dc from this point forward.)

Front Left Strap

Next row: Sl st into first 5 (5, 6, 6) sts, work dc to last 7 (7, 8, 8) sts, dc2tog, leave last 5 (5, 6, 6) sts unworked.
Dec row: Dc2tog, dc to last 2 dc, dc2tog.
Dec row: Dc2tog, work dc to center 18 (28, 20, 30) dc, turn work, leaving rem sts unworked.
Dec row: Dc2tog, work to last 2 dc, dc2tog.
Rep last row, 8 (8, 11, 11) more times – 12 (12, 14, 14) sts rem.
Cont to work dc every row until strap meas 7¼ (8, 8, 9)”. Fasten off last st.

Front Right Strap

Beg at WS of work, sl st into first 5 (5, 6, 6) sts, work dc to center 18 (28, 20, 30) dc, turn work.
Dec row: Dc2tog, dc to last 2 dc, dc2tog.
Dec row: Dc2tog, work to last 2 dc, dc2tog.
Rep last row, 10 (10, 12, 12) more times – 12 (12, 14, 14) sts rem.
Cont to work dc every row until strap meas 7¼ (8, 8, 9)”. Fasten off last st.
Make Left & Right Back Strap as for Front Straps.

Finishing

Sew shoulder seams and side seams.

Armhole Borders

With RS facing and beg and center of underarm sts, work sc around entire armhole. Fasten off last st.

Collar

With RS facing and beg and left top edge of inside shoulder, work tr around entire neckline. Turn work. Cont to work tr in rows until collar meas 7”. Fasten off last st, leaving a long tail to sew collar seam. Sew collar seam and weave in all ends.yarn ball

    This pattern is very pretty and I would like to make this top. There are errors in your Row 2 instructions of the pattern, though, that I cannot follow. The instruction states: sk (1 dc, 1 ch, 1 sc). There is no 1 dc, 1 ch, 1 sc in the previous row (Row 1). Next error is, (1 sc, 1 ch, 1 dc), there is no such direction in the previous row either. Further, in Row 2 you state: end with 1 dc under tch. You do not have any abbreviations given but there isn’t a tch in the previous row. Please clarify these instructions. Thanks for creating such a beautiful design.
