Red Heart Classic (100% acrylic; 190 yards [174 meters]/100 grams): #0001 White (1 skein)
Hook: US size F/5 (4.0 mm) and US size H/8 (5.0 mm) hooks
Special Stitches
Shell: (sc, ch 3, 3 dc) in space or stitch as indicated.
Picot: Ch 3, sl st into first ch.
Pattern
Row 1 (RS): With H hook loosely ch 32, 2 dc in 4th ch from hook, *skip 3 chs, Shell in next ch, repeat from * across to last 4 chs, skip 3 chs, sc in last ch, turn.
Rows 2: Ch 3, 2 dc in first sc, Shell around each ch 3 space across, sc in last dc, turn.
Rows 3-88: Repeat Row 2.
Row 89: Ch 4, tr in same stitch, (3 sc in ch 3 space, sc in sc) across ending sc in last sc, dc in ch 3 of turning ch, ch 4, slip stitch in same stitch and fasten off.
Snowflake (Make Six)
With F hook ch 5, sl st to first ch to form loop.
Rnd 1: Ch 1, sc into loop, (ch 3, sc into loop) 5 times, ch 3, sl st into first sc. (6 loops made)
Rnd 2: Sl st into first loop, (picot, sl st into loop, ch 5, sl st into next loop) 5 times, picot, sl st into loop and fasten off. (6 picots and 6 ch 5 loops)
With right side facing sew snowflakes onto scarf.
