Yarn: Red Heart Boutique Unforgettable (100% acrylic; 280 yards [256 meters]/100 grams): #9942 Cappuccino (1 ball)
Hook: US size I/9 (5.5 mm) hook

Pattern Notes

When instructed to work into a stitch or space “2 rows below”, work into the row numbered 2 less than the current row. For example, if you are working Row 5, a stitch “2 rows below” is in Row 5 – 2 = Row 3. Skip the corresponding stitch in the row into which you would usually work.

Pattern

Leaving long beginning tail, ch 41.
Row 1 (Right Side): Sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next 34 ch; leave last 5 ch unworked, turn. (35 sc)
Row 2: Ch 1, working in back loops only, sc in first 30 sts, working in both loops, sc in last 5 sts, turn.
Row 3: Ch 1, sc in first st, FPdc around next 3 sts 2 rows below, sc in next st, working in back loops only, sc in next 30 sc, working in remaining ch from Row 1, sc in next 5 ch, turn. (40 sts)
Row 4: Ch 1, working in back loops only, sc in first 35 sts, working in both loops, sc in last 5 sts, turn.
Row 5: Ch 1, sc in next st, skip next st, FPdc around next 2 FPdc 2 rows below; working in front of 2 FPdc just made, FPdc around skipped st 2 rows below, sc in next st, working in back loops only, sc in next 30 sts; leave last 5 sts unworked, turn. (35 sts)
Row 6: Ch 1, working in back loops only, sc in first 30 sts, working in both loops, sc in last 5 sts, turn.
Row 7: Ch 1, sc in first st, FPdc around next 3 FPdc 2 rows below, sc in next st, working in back loops only, sc in next 30 sts, working in back loops only, sc in last 5 sts 2 rows below, turn. (40 sts)
Row 8: Ch 1, working in back loops only, sc in first 35 sts, working in both loops, sc in last 5 sts, turn.
Rows 9-88 (100): Repeat Rows 5-8 twenty (twenty-three) times.
Row 89 (101) (right side – joining row): Ch 1, holding Rows 1 and 88 (100) with wrong sides together and working through both thicknesses and in opposite side of foundation ch, slip st through first st of last row and first ch; drop loop from hook, insert hook behind post of first FPdc of Row 87 (99), place dropped loop on hook and pull loop behind st, skip first FPdc of Row 1, FPdc around second FPdc of Row 1, drop loop from hook, insert hook behind post of next FPdc of Row 87 (99), place dropped loop on hook and pull loop behind st, FPdc around next FPdc on Row 1, drop loop from hook, insert hook behind post of next FPdc of Row 87 (99), place dropped loop on hook and pull loop behind st, FPdc around skipped FPdc of Row 1; working through both thicknesses and in opposite side of foundation ch, *slip st through next st of last row and next ch; repeat from * across. Fasten off.

Finishing

Weave beginning tail through ends of rows, pull tightly and secure end. Weave in ends. yarn ball
