Yarn: Red Heart Soft (100% acrylic; 256 yards [234 meters]/141 grams): White (Color A, 1 skein), Off White (Color B, 1 skein), Black (Color C, 1 skein), Grape (Color D, 1 skein), Seafoam (Color E, 1 skein), Light Grey Heather (Color, 1 skein F), Tangerine (Color G, 1 skein), Turquoise (Color H, 1 skein), Chocolate (Color N, 1 skein); Bernet Tizzy Yarn (100% polyester; 52 yards [47 meters]/100 grams): Marshmallow White (Color O, 1 skein)
Hook: US size 7 (1.50 mm) hook
Notions: Yarn needle, fiberfill for stuffing 3D ornaments, stitch markers (optional)

Abominable Snowman Pattern Notes
This ornament is flat and is made in sections.
You can use any fuzzy yarn as a substitute for the Bernat Tizzy (Color O) yarn, as needed.
Abominable Snowman Pattern
Head
Using Color A, ch 4.
Rnd 1: 10 dc in first chain, sl st to first stitch to join. (10 sts)
Rnd 2: Ch 2 (does not count as a stitch here and throughout), 2 dc in each stitch, sl st to first stitch to join. (20 sts)
Rnd 3: Ch 2, *dc, 2 dc in next stitch, repeat from * to complete round, sl st to first stitch to join. (30 sts)
Row 4: Ch 1, sc, *dc 2, 2 dc in next stitch, repeat from * 4 more times, sc in last stitch. (22 sts)
Row 5: Turn, ch 1, sc 4, 2 sc in next stitch, dc 3, 2 dc in next stitch, tr 2, sl st to next stitch, ch 26 (hanging loop), sl st to same stitch, 2 tr in next stitch, dc 3, 2 dc in next stitch, sc 3, 2 sc in next stitch, sc in last stitch. (27 sts)
Fasten off. Weave in ends.
Face
Using Color E, ch 9.
Row 1: Turn, sc in the first chain from hook and in each across. (8 sts)
Row 2: Turn, ch 1, sc 8. (8 sts)
Row 3: Turn, ch 1, sc, sc dec, sc 2, sc dec, sc. (6 sts)
Row 4: Turn, ch 1, sc, sc dec two times, sc. (4 sts)
Row 5: Turn, sc dec two times.
Fasten off, leaving a long tail.
Mouth
Using Color F, ch 9.
Row 1: Turn, sc in the first chain from hook and in each across. (8 sts)
Row 2: Turn, ch 1, sc 8. (8 sts)
Row 3: Turn, ch 1, sc, sc dec, sc 2, sc dec, sc. (6 sts)
Row 4: Turn, ch 1, sc, sc dec two times, sc. (4 sts)
Row 5: Turn, sc dec two times. (2 sts)
Fasten off. Weave in ends.
Lay piece right side up with the chain at top.
Join Color A at top right, ch 1, sc using the 2nd and 3rd row as stitches to create the teeth. Work around the mouth. You can use yarn needle to create same effect if preferred.
Eyes (Make 2)
Using Color A, ch 2.
Rnd 1: 5 sc in first chain, sl st to first stitch to join. (5 sts)
Fasten off, leaving a long tail.
Using a yarn needle, sew the face and the mouth onto the head.
Sew the eyes onto the face.
Using Color C and yarn needle, stitch one time in center of eye to create pupil.
Using Color O and yarn needle, weave in and out around the head.
Tip: Cover 3-4 stitches at once to allow the textured yarn to cover the face evenly.
Fasten off. Weave in ends.
To cover the back, if preferred, glue or sew on a piece of fabric. Trim to size.

Scarf
Using Color H, ch 50.
Turn, dc in third chain from hook and in each across.
Fasten off. Weave in ends.
Using yarn needle, embellish the face onto the snowman.
Tie the scarf on the neck and stitch it into place at the back of neck.
Stuff the snowman with fiberfill.
Using yarn needle, sew the hat topper into place.
Mini Cup of Cocoa Pattern
Using Color G, ch 2.
Rnd 1: 7 sc in first chain. (7 sts)
Rnd 2: Working in the round, 2 sc in each stitch. (14 sts)
Rnd 3: * Sc, 2 sc in next stitch, repeat from * to complete round. (21 sts)
Rnd 4: * Sc 2, 2 sc in next stitch, repeat from * to complete round. (28 sts)
Rnd 5: * Sc 3, 2 sc in next stitch, repeat from * to complete round. (35 sts)
Rnd 6: In back loop only, sc in each stitch. (35 sts)

Using yarn needle and Color B, embellish the cocoa top with ‘marshmallows’.
Using long tail from handle, sew into place.
Using yarn needle and color G, sew the cocoa top onto mug. Fasten off. Weave in ends.
Hanging Loop
Join Color G at stitch by handle, ch 26, sl st to same stitch. Fasten off. Weave in ends.
